Thought for the day!

There are innumerable mysteries to the universe. But who we are, is not one of them.
That answer lies inside us.

Caring for the Elderly

To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honours.
If only more people realised that!

Good manners

The test of good manners is to be patient with the bad ones.
-Solomon Ibn Gabirol

True Love

A person who truly loves you is someone who sees the pain in your eyes while everyone else still believes the smile on your face.

Nastiness

When someone is nasty, petty, small minded or treats you poorly, don't take it personally. It says nothing about you but a lot about them!

Despair

When I despair, I try to remember that all through history, people have overcome adversity to achieve great things and eventually the path of truth, kindness and love has always won. There have been tyrants who have seemed invincible, but in the end they have been defeated. For we draw strength from the very despair in which we have been forced to live. If we continue, we shall endure and eventually triumph!

Anger & Intolerance

Anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding.

-Mahatma Gandhi

Stubbornness & Stupidity

Stubborn and ardent clinging to one's opinion is the best proof of stupidity!

-Michel De Montaigne

Pride

When you are full of pride on the inside, it makes you stiff, stubborn and creates strife with others.

-John C, Maxwell

Happy Endings

What's a great love story without obstacles to overcome? Every fairy-tale has them.
You can't give up. That's the deal.
We want the happy ending, we can't give up.

What makes life valuable is that it doesn't last forever, what makes it precious is that it ends.....

Without a little rain!

Daddy

It's been 10 years since I lost my dad, but to me he will always be a star.
A shining example of what a father and man should be.
He never told me how to live my life, but he lived life to the fullest and showed me how.
And I am not ashamed to say that no man I have ever met was my fathers equal.

Love you daddy, now and always!

- In loving memory of my father on his 10th death anniversary.

Thought for the day!

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.

Moving On

Close some doors. Not because of pride or incapacity or arrogance, but simply because they no longer lead anywhere.

About losing

Nothing is ever lost, we just look in the wrong place.

Purpose in Life

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.

- Dalai Lama

Defensiveness

Defensiveness is usually someone silently screaming that they need you to value and respect them.

Life Partners

I no longer believe in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I am beginning to believe that, if you are lucky, you might meet someone who is exactly right for you. Not because he is perfect, or because you are, but because your combined flaws are arranged in a way that allows two separate beings to fit together as one!

Love

To love at all is to be vulnerable.
Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken.
If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal.
Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements.
Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness.
But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change.
It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.
To love is to be vulnerable.

― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
