Actually your previous post got me thinking. Came back to comment on that… but will start by saying that books are better friends than dogs. Dogs like humans, die.
We all want to make a difference. And we all want to do something spectacular and big for mankind. As long as it doesn’t hamper our schedule.
We all know about underprivileged children. We all know that if wanted, we can adopt, feed and take care of another one in the house. But that is discomfort. So we assuage our guilt by sponsoring a Childs ‘monetary’ support with a CRY or so… We know that it is bad enough that a little girl accompanies her mother to our house… to help her wash the dishes and clean. It is bad enough that a little girl has to work. But how do we deal with it? “We give her food and teach her English”. And let her get back to work.
A touching post, the previous one. But then again, it just reminds us of what we already know… and all talk no action has been the downfall of this society since god knows when….
Well, death is unfortunate but u can't stop living bcoz u know we'll all die some day...n loving another always makes us better than we r... :-) The happiness and unconditional love you get from a pet,is beyond compare..
Anyway about my previous post, i strongly believe trying to make a difference should start at home.. which i try to do my little bit by paying for my drivers kids education - school fees, books, uniforms, shoes, etc. Also take care of their health, the lil girl has an asthma problem and needs to be admitted to the hospital frequently... try to do something nice on their birthdays by buying a cake and some snacks... i'm sure there is a lot more i can do.. and i will.. just need some more time..
Just feel that if other ppl also did the same and maybe more, we could each help educate and make another person independant...
